The Alps tower up in front of the minuscule Fiat Panda. Europop blares from the car radio. Lo Selbo fiddles with the volume control, Ossi Viola aka Albertine Sarges keeps the tiny car stable in the bend. They have spent the last 10 years in Italy, singing in squats, in indie clubs and - yes - after an invitation to X-Factor Italia, also in a Turin sports stadium. They sang about the white Fiat Panda carrying them across the Alps. But they meant it only as a metaphor: following an impossible dream, drilling Max Weber's thick planks, things like that. A virus and a phone call from London changed all that abruptly. In Guastalla, they bought a Panda from a fan. Now they are surrounded by mountains and wondering how to activate the four-wheel drive.
